Basketball Recap: Angola Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Angola can now relate to. They took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Garrett Railroaders. The Hornets just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Angola lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Niles Knox, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 14 boards. Those 14 rebounds gave him a new career-high. Ryan Stuckey was another key player, putting up ten points and eight boards.

Garrett's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Coffman, who posted 14 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kohen Smith, who earned 11 points.

Angola's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Garrett, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Angola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Garrett, they will face off against Leo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Leo has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight losses, while Garrett will come in with four straight wins.
