Football Recap: Bridge Creek Takes a Loss

Bridge Creek had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-9 to make it four. They came up short against the Weatherford Eagles, falling 47-25. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 41-14 to the Eagles when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Bridge Creek still got an impressive performance from Shaddox Swires, who threw for 142 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Kolby Ramsey got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

As for Weatherford, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2. Considering they have won four games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Weatherford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Short, who rushed for 52 yards and a pair of scores.

Bridge Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Weatherford, they will host Blanchard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
