Baseball Recap: Hill School Gets the Win

Hill School came out on top against Lawrenceville School on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Rams took their contest against the Big Red 7-2. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Big Red last Saturday, they had to take a 11-2 defeat.

Duncan Toomey looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Evan Muto, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two RBI. Luke Moyer was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Hill School's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Lawrenceville School, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hill School will face off against Faith Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lawrenceville School, they will take on West Windsor-Plainsboro South at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
