Softball Recap: Monday's Win Is Pulaski's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Pulaski proved they can win big on Friday (they won by nine) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Bay Port Pirates. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red Raiders have posted since May 5th.

The team relied heavily on Kianna Altendorf, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Molly Molthen, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Pulaski has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Bay Port, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-8.

Coming up, Pulaski will head out to challenge Notre Dame Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tritons have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Bay Port, they will challenge Sheboygan North at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates are facing the Golden Raiders at the right time seeing as the Golden Raiders are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
