After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Perry County Central finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell 4-1 to the Bracken County Polar Bears. The Commodores' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mikayla Shepherd was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Perry County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Bracken County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

Perry County Central will take on Simon Kenton at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bracken County, they are taking a road trip to challenge George Rogers Clark at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
