Softball Preview: Borah Lions vs. Owyhee Storm
The Borah Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Owyhee Storm at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Borah is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
On Friday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Borah had to settle for a 10-9 defeat against Nampa.
Borah got a good showing from Megan Meracle, who pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meracle has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Kayla Campbell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maggie McMullen, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
