Recap: Paxton Bobcats vs. Walton Braves
The Paxton Bobcats stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Walton with a sharp 67-46 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Paxton has posted since November 30, 2023.
Paxton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sawyer Adams out in front who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. Adams has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Collin Stewart, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.
Walton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Neenan, who scored 11 points along with four steals. Santego Austin was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Paxton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Walton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-4.
Paxton will head out on the road to face off against Bethlehem at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bethlehem will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Walton will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Bay at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Bay has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
