Basketball Game Preview: Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks vs. West Central Valley Wildcats

The Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks will venture away from home to take on the West Central Valley Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Colfax-Mingo and six for West Central Valley.

Last Tuesday, Colfax-Mingo was beaten by Sigourney 86-47. While losing is never fun, the Tigerhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while the Savages are ranked 133rd).

Meanwhile, West Central Valley came up short against Pleasantville on Friday and fell 50-42.

Colfax-Mingo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for West Central Valley, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-11.

Colfax-Mingo came up short against West Central Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 59-46. Can Colfax-Mingo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
