Softball Recap: Nelson vs. Clackamas Cavaliers
Nelson won the last time they faced Clackamas and things went their way on Thursday too. Nelson was the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over Clackamas. Considering Nelson has won five games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Sofia Forbito spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ellie Nix and Abigail Huspek did most of the damage at the plate: Nix went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI, while Huspek went 2-for-3 with three runs and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Huspek a new career-high. Alyvia Pietsch was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
