Basketball Recap: Braddock Falls to Mater Academy Charter in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Braddock had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the Mater Academy Charter Lions and fell 58-23. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Aheizer Frais was the offensive standout of the matchup as he posted 14 points and four steals. Wesley Inigo was another key player, putting up seven points and five steals.

The victory (which was Mater Academy Charter's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Braddock will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pinecrest Prep at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. The Crocs have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Mater Academy Charter, they have already played their next game, a 63-50 loss against Balboa on the 28th.
