Basketball Recap: International Academy's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

International Academy entered their tilt with Genesee Christian on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Genesee Christian Soldiers 62-44. Given the Phoenix's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 186th, while the Soldiers are ranked 548th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

International Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Genesee Christian, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. International Academy will challenge Beecher at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th. International Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Beecher likes a good challenge. As for Genesee Christian, they will face off against Hamady at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hamady will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Genesee Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
