On Friday, Owensboro Catholic faced Bethlehem in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Owensboro Catholic Aces fell just short of the Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees by a score of 53-50. The Aces' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Several Aces players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Karmin Riley, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Randolph, who posted nine points.

Owensboro Catholic's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-4. As for Bethlehem, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Owensboro Catholic will head out on the road to face off against Owensboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Owensboro is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.9 points per game this season. As for Bethlehem, they will challenge Bardstown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
