Softball Recap: Trinity Christian Trojans vs. Antonian Prep Apaches
Trinity Christian and Antonian Prep squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Trinity Christian had to settle for second. They lost 15-2 to the Antonian Prep Apaches. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Trinity Christian of the 9-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
Trinity Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Stewart, who went 2-for-3 with a triple and a run.
On Antonian Prep's side, Isabella Garza and Trinity Silva did most of the damage at the plate: Garza went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Silva scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Medina, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Trinity Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-8. As for Antonian Prep, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 31-6.
