Baseball Game Preview: Paradise Honors Panthers vs. Goldwater Bulldogs

The Paradise Honors Panthers will square off against the Goldwater Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Paradise Honors' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Goldwater has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Paradise Honors is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since March 22, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Thunderbird by a score of 9-7.

Jaydan Herrera made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Boeden Forquer, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Goldwater came up short against Marcos de Niza on Monday and fell 6-3.

Braeden Evjen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times he's played.

Paradise Honors' defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 17-3. As for Goldwater, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Paradise Honors took their win against Goldwater in their previous meeting back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 18-8 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
