Basketball Recap: White Deer's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

After flying high against Shamrock last Friday, White Deer came back down to earth. The White Deer Bucks took a 56-37 bruising from the McLean Tigers on Tuesday. The Bucks' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

White Deer's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karson Vaughn, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caynden Mynear, who scored ten points.

Collin Alston was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and ten boards for McLean. That makes it four consecutive games in which Alston has scored at least a third of McLean's points. Elijah Fite was another key player, putting up seven points.

White Deer's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for McLean, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.

White Deer has already played their next match, a 62-32 victory against Hedley on the 13th. As for McLean, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-30 win against Groom on the 11th.
