Basketball Recap: West Blocton Takes a Loss

West Blocton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt a 78-34 loss at the hands of the Jemison Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-42 last Monday.

West Blocton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Jemison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

West Blocton is taking a road trip to challenge Holt at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Jemison, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Chilton County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jemison is facing Chilton County at the right time seeing as Chilton County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
