Volleyball Recap: Centereach Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Centereach Cougars came up short against the Hauppauge Eagles on Friday and fell 3-1. While the Cougars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-21 in the first set.

Centereach started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-19.

Leading Hauppauge to victory were Jenna Gennari and Brooke Tarasenko. Gennari had nine digs and three aces, while Tarasenko had 19 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Gennari has posted over her last four matchups.

Centereach's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Hauppauge, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Centereach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hauppauge, they will head out on the road to face off against Smithtown East at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
