Recap: Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs vs. Summerfield Rebels
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Huntington, the Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Summerfield with a sharp 50-28 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Gibsland-Coleman has posted against Summerfield since February 13, 2021.
Leading Gibsland-Coleman to victory were Samora Sampson and Baleigh Haulcy. Sampson scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and six assists, while Haulcy dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sampson has scored all season. Ca'Riya Lewis was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Gibsland-Coleman's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Summerfield, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gibsland-Coleman will face off against Family Community Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Summerfield, they will head out on the road to take on Claiborne Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Claiborne Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
