Softball Recap: Cameron County Raiders vs. Port Allegany Gators

Cameron County had lost five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 0-3 to make it six. They came up short against the Port Allegany Gators, falling 25-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Thursday.

As for Port Allegany, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The result was nothing new for Port Allegany, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

The Owls have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.43 runs per game on average), something the Gators will no doubt try to take advantage of.
