Volleyball Recap: Esperanza Takes a Loss

Esperanza was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Crean Lutheran Saints. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Esperanza's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Crean Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Esperanza will welcome Servite at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Crean Lutheran, they will face off against Pacifica at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
