Baseball Game Preview: Carlisle Thundering Herd vs. Central Dauphin East Panthers

The Carlisle Thundering Herd will head out to take on the Central Dauphin East Panthers at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Tuesday, Carlisle didn't have quite enough to beat Lower Dauphin and fell 7-6. The Thundering Herd have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bradyn Sober was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, Central Dauphin East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Lower Dauphin.

Central Dauphin East saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Donavan Thompson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Carlisle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Central Dauphin East, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Carlisle took their win against Central Dauphin East in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Thundering Herd repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
