Recap: Kress Kangaroos vs. Lazbuddie Longhorns
The Kress Kangaroos came into Friday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 54-44 victory over Lazbuddie on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Kress, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Dillon Morphis was a one-man wrecking crew for Kress as he shot 4-for-11 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 31 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morphis has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Calin Teeple, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Kress' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-15. As for Lazbuddie, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Nazareth the next time they take the court. Kress will head out to face the Swifts at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Longhorns will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
