Softball Recap: Mountain Home's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Mountain Home had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Canyon Ridge Riverhawks with a sharp 18-10 victory on Thursday.

Madison Cotton was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Blair, who went 1-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Cotton wasn't the only one making solid contact: Mountain Home kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Mountain Home's record is now 5-6. As for Canyon Ridge, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mountain Home beat the Riverhawks by a score of 8-7 later that day.
