Basketball Recap: Branham Takes a Loss

Branham made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Leland, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bruins fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 58-56 on Monday. The Bruins haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Leland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Eric John-Wong out in front who posted 11 points and seven steals. Steven Watson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 15 points and nine boards.

Branham's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Leland, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Branham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-59 loss against Sacred Heart Prep on the 3rd. As for Leland, they have also already played their next matchup, a 55-52 defeat against Burlingame on the 3rd.
