Trinity came out on top against Weed on Friday thanks in part to Brynn Sommerfeld's efforts. Sommerfeld struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. The performance marked the most strikeouts she has had since back in March of 2025.

Sommerfeld and Trinity will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Etna at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Wolves have some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since March of 2021, but a win here would be a good start.
