Baseball Recap: Arcadia's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Arcadia waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the North Baltimore Tigers by a score of 5-2. The Redskins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Isaac Stoner made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Stoner was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, Colin Nusser was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Blayne Colman, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Arcadia hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive games.

Arcadia's record is now 7-10. As for North Baltimore, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-7.

Coming up, Arcadia will venture away from home to take on Bluffton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Redskins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for North Baltimore, they will be playing at home against Hilltop at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
