Basketball Game Preview: South Delta Bulldogs vs. Port Gibson Blue Waves

The South Delta Bulldogs will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Port Gibson Blue Waves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

South Delta is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They took a blow against Humphreys County on Tuesday, falling 56-15. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-11.

Meanwhile, Port Gibson was beaten by Raymond 66-34 on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Waves in their meetings with the Rangers: they've now lost three in a row.

South Delta might still be hurting after the 60-37 loss they got from Port Gibson in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
