Basketball Game Preview: Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes vs. Blue Mountain Eagles

The Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes will head out on the road to square off against the Blue Mountain Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Schuylkill Haven came up short against Tri-Valley and fell 81-69. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 111th).

Meanwhile, Blue Mountain waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They claimed a resounding 69-39 win over the Raiders. The Eagles pushed the score to 63-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raiders cut but never quite recovered from.

Schuylkill Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Blue Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 15-7.
