Basketball Game Preview: EF Academy Falcons vs. Storm King Cougars

The EF Academy Falcons will take on the Storm King Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (EF Academy has three straight wins, Storm King has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

EF Academy is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Storm King: they outscored them in every quarter. EF Academy blew past Storm King 33-8 on Wednesday. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season.

EF Academy relied on the efforts of Ayano Oki, who to rack up 12 points and four steals, and Hanna Blach, who posted five points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Kim, who put up three points.

EF Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.

EF Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 15.5 points over those games. As for Storm King, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
