            Coronado hasn't had much luck against Pebble Hills recently, but that could start to change  on Saturday. The Thunderbirds will welcome the Spartans  at 9:00  a.m. Coronado has given up an average of 12.7  runs per game this season, but Saturday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Coronado is headed into Saturday's   matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game  on Friday. They came up short against  Franklin, falling  23-9.
  Simone Coppinger was cooking despite her team's loss,   firing off two  home runs, five  RBI,  and three  runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of  Farrah Macias, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.

Those  three  runs gave  Dela Cruz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Daniela Armendariz, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-5.
 Pebble Hills  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 17  hits. They are 4-2 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
 Pebble Hills' win bumped their record up to 11-17. As for Coronado, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-20.
Saturday's   contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Coronado hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .407. However, it's not like Pebble Hills struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .316. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
