Randolph-Henry's win ends three-game losing streak on the road

Recap: Randolph-Henry Statesmen vs. Nottoway Cougars
The Randolph-Henry Statesmen scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-60 victory over Nottoway. The victory was just what Randolph-Henry needed coming off of a 60-38 defeat in their prior match.
When it comes to explaining why Nottoway lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kendreyeus Johnson. Despite the final result, he scored 28 points along with six steals. D'aunte Watson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Randolph-Henry's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6. As for Nottoway, they have fallen quite a ways from their 16-5 record last season and are now at 3-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Randolph-Henry will take on Lunenburg Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lunenburg Central is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Nottoway, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Buckingham at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Buckingham is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
