Softball Recap: Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS Takes a Loss

Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Clear Lake Lions, falling 13-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS of the 17-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2024.

Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Clear Lake, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS is set to face off against their familiar foe Iowa Falls-Alden at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Clear Lake will take on rival Webster City at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
