After flying high against Eagle's View last Tuesday, Columbia came back down to earth. Columbia took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Suwannee Bulldogs on Thursday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Logan Brooks was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February.

Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Suwannee, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Columbia and Suwannee should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Columbia will face off against North Marion at 6:30 p.m. on Friday up 117 places (47 vs. 164). Meanwhile, Suwannee (ranked 65th) will meet Santa Fe (ranked 200th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
