Recap: Northside Baptist Christian Lions vs. Joppa-Maple Grove Rangers
The Northside Baptist Christian Lions pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Joppa-Maple Grove. That's two games in a row now that Northside Baptist Christian has lost by exactly nine points.
Joppa-Maple Grove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Pease led the charge by scoring 20 points. Another player making a difference was AJ Lyle, who scored 16 points.
Northside Baptist Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Joppa-Maple Grove, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Northside Baptist Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cumberland Christian Home Educators at 12:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Joppa-Maple Grove, they will head out on the road to face off against Agape Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
