Volleyball Game Preview: Sunnyside Wildcats vs. Torres Toros

The Sunnyside Wildcats will face off against the Torres Toros at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sunnyside comes in on four and Torres on six.

On Tuesday, Sunnyside earned a 3-1 win over McLane.

Meanwhile, Torres made easy work of Fresno on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Torres never let Fresno on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 29-27, 25-20.

Torres' win came from a few key players Sunnyside will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Gianna Gonzalez, who had 26 digs and one assist. Those 26 digs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Cook, who had eight digs and two aces.

Sunnyside's win bumped their record up to 6-16-2. As for Torres, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
