Softball Recap: Clarendon's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Clarendon came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Lockney Longhorns with a sharp 14-0 win. For the Broncos, this counts as revenge for the 14-8 victory the Longhorns walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2016.

Clarendon pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lockney, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Coincidentally, Clarendon and Lockney will both be playing Memphis the next time they take the field. Clarendon will head out to face Memphis at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while Lockney will host them at 5:00 p.m. on April 1.
