Football Recap: Whitehaven's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

Whitehaven won the last time they faced Fairley and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers enjoyed a cozy 25-6 victory over the Bulldogs. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 118th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Whitehaven and bumps their season record up to 2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.0 points over those games. As for Fairley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coming up, Whitehaven will take on Germantown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Red Devils have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Fairley, they will challenge Trezevant at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Bulldogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
