Baseball Recap: Portsmouth Christian Academy's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Portsmouth Christian Academy finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They came up short against the Mascenic Regional Vikings, falling 7-1. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Portsmouth Christian Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Leland, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Leland's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Portsmouth Christian Academy fell to 3-1. As for Mascenic Regional, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Portsmouth Christian Academy will head out to challenge Pittsfield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Mascenic Regional, they are taking a road trip to face off against Wilton-Lyndeborough at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
