Volleyball Recap: Lake Nona Lions vs. Cypress Creek Bears

Lake Nona lost against Cypress Creek back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions fell just short of the Bears by a score of 3-2. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lake Nona started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 21-25, 25-14, 25-16, 15-9.

Defeat or not, Lake Nona got some senior leadership from Jonathan Mckenna and Jayden Serrano. Mckenna had 27 digs and two assists, while Serrano had 12 digs and two aces.
