Softball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Madison managed to slip by Johnson the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Madison Mavericks came up short against the Johnson Jaguars on Wednesday, falling 15-3. The Mavericks' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Johnson, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Madison will face off against Brandeis at 7:00 p.m. on March 19th. Madison has given up an average of 8.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Johnson, they will square off against LEE at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Johnson's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so LEE's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
