Softball Recap: Newark Comes Up Short

The Newark Wildcats lost 12-2 to the Teays Valley Vikings on Thursday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mallory Back made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Newark's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Teays Valley, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newark will host Licking Heights at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Teays Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pickerington Central at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
