Basketball Recap: Johnston Gets the Win

Johnston had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 56-55 W against the Wakefield Cardinals. This was a revenge game for the Speedboys: when they faced off against the Cardinals two weeks ago, they had to take a 49-33 loss.

Johnston's victory bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Wakefield, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-8.

Coming up, Johnston will square off against Dollar Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dollar Bay will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Johnston surely won't give up without a fight. Wakefield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
