Basketball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Ripon Christian

Ripon Christian extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Jake Vander Veen. The Ripon Christian Knights breezed by the River Islands Riptide to the tune of 70-39 on Wednesday thanks in part to Vander Veen, who posted 17 points. His evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Several Riptide players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charles Mapanao, who earned ten points and six rebounds. Euan Costales was another key player, putting up eight points.

Ripon Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.3 points. As for River Islands, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Ripon Christian has already played their next game (against Ripon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. River Islands has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Venture Academy.
