Volleyball Recap: Mauston Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Mauston waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Tri-County Penguins by a score of 2-0.

Mauston never let Tri-County on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17.

Ella Franek paced Mauston's offense, picking up five kills. Franek got some help from Ellie Pouillie and her nine assists. Pouillie was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Mauston's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Tri-County, they dropped their record down to 8-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Mauston and Tri-County will both be playing Portage the next time they take the court. The Golden Eagles will host the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Penguins will play them later in the day, at 6:15 p.m.
