Basketball Game Preview: East Valley Red Devils vs. Othello Huskies

The East Valley Red Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Othello Huskies at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. East Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

East Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 69-15 victory over Ephrata. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, in Tuesday's Canine Competition, Othello didn't have enough. They took a blow against Ellensburg on Tuesday, falling 69-11. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Bulldogs are ranked tenth).

Othello dropped their record down to 6-13 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for East Valley, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 6-13.

East Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Othello in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 53-47 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
