Softball Recap: University Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous three meetings between University and Deltona, and Deltona kept the tradition alive. The Titans fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 8-7 on Tuesday. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

University saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Collins, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

With the defeat, University broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-7. As for Deltona, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Looking ahead, University will challenge Olympia at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Deltona, they are taking a road trip to face off against Spruce Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
