Baseball Recap: Clayton Takes a Loss

Clayton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Overbrook Rams, falling 16-3. The Clippers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Clayton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Delaney, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Jameson Emerle was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Clayton's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Overbrook, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clayton will square off against Pitman at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Clippers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Overbrook, they will challenge Absegami at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
