Volleyball Recap: Holt Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Holt extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 5-17. They came up short against the Okemos Wolves, falling 3-0. Rams fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wolves since Thursday.

As for Okemos, they pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The game was the first time they have beaten Holt on their court since October 25, 2022.

Among those leading the charge was McKenzie Gunns, who had six digs and three aces. Those three aces gave her a new career-high. Delaney Gahsman also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Holt and Okemos could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Rams will challenge DeWitt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (335 vs. 124). Meanwhile, Okemos (ranked 226th) will meet South Lyon (ranked 27th) at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
