Basketball Recap: Lakeland Preparatory Takes a Loss

Lakeland Preparatory suffered their biggest defeat since January 14th on Friday. They were beaten by the Memphis Business Academy Execs 52-16. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Execs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Memphis Business Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tarrin Hill, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten steals. Thanks to that strong game, Hill now owns an excellent 45.1% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Curnesha Taylor, who went 6-for-13 on her way to 15 points and three steals.

Lakeland Preparatory's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Memphis Business Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Lakeland Preparatory does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Memphis Business Academy, they have already played their next contest, an 88-24 victory against Mitchell on the 15th.
