Basketball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 59-10 defeat at the hands of the Greenbrier Wolfpack. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Greenbrier, they pushed their record up to 10-12 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Lakeside will challenge Effingham County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will be up against the Rebels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Greenbrier, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Evans at 6:00 p.m.
